Kara 殻 is really into Norwegian mythology. It is told that Kara's kind is a mysterious and holy tree. This intruiged Kara to get to know more about Norwegian mythology! She is what humans could call a true 'bookworm'. Even though she does not know how to read she is very keen on getting to know the world better. Being a treeplom in Mamorumori forest she has survived many winters already. Her knowledge should be REALLY broad by now! Her neighbour trees describe Kara as being a nerd, logical and reliable. Kara comes from the Japanese translated word of 'hull'.
This treeplom is part of the Winter collection of 2021-2022. The treeploms are based on the birch (tree). Their skins are continuously regenerating. This creates the color differences that you see. This makes them very special! During winter they barely have any leaves. These leaves seem to be fully snowed.
Treeploms are approximately H40 cm x W15 cm x 15 cm. Completely handmade out of local fabrics and polyester filling. Please do not put this treeplom in the washing machine as they might not survive the ride. Treeploms are scared of the machine. Gently try to clean them by hand, if needed (at Mamorumori we like to think they stay clean but you never know).
