Calathea カラテア is a very special treeplom. To others she might look fake: but she is 100% real! She particularly likes high humidity and indirect sunlight. Her leaves are very interesting. They go up during the night and they go down during the day. Calathea performs best at 16 degrees Celsius, but she is now used to all kinds of weather. Her Plum Rabbit mother grew her to be very strong against any type of weather! Calathea will always remember her time in Mamorumori forest. But now she is looking for a new plant pot to stand in. Will you bring her home? Her Plum Rabbit mother describes her being self-sufficient, caring and well-bred.
This treeplom is part of the Houseplant Collection of 2022. The Plum Rabbits have been growing plants at their home in Mamorumori forest during the cold months of the year. They are proudly presenting them to you! Calathea is based on the calathea ornata (or prayer) plants. They are also called Calathea Pinstripe or Pinstripe plant.
Treeploms are approximately H40 cm x W15 cm x 15 cm. Completely handmade out of local fabrics and polyester filling. Please do not put this treeplom in the washing machine as they might not survive the ride. Treeploms are scared of the machine. Gently try to clean them by hand, if needed (at Mamorumori we like to think they stay clean but you never know).
